In
the time of global economy crisis, the great and sudden
changes throughout the world with domination, control,
enlargement and unbalanced development as goals, mineral
resources have particular significance and head position in
commencing the strategic geopolitical turmoil. The
whirlpools of such global tectonic business and economic
quakes and movements have not evaded us, and they have a
strong influence on all the segments of our mining and
geology.
Seven
years after the First scientific Conference of such profile
(2003, Belgrade), the Conference Mineral-resources Complex
of Serbia today: challenges and crossroads, meeting the
challenges of time, has the goal of comprehensive review of
condition, trends, problems, obstacles, consequences and
possible solutions as a way out from the crisis.
The
scope of the Conference topics covers important current
problems, from mineral resources exploitation, applied and
scientific research in geology and mining, human resources
topics and the education of engineers, to standardization,
legislation and organization of profession.
On
this occasion, the Division of mining and Geology Sciences
of the AESS had completed the documented analysis of ore
reserves and production of mineral resources from 1945 to
2009.
With
intention for Conference to encompass all the significant
problems of Serbian Geology and Mining today, the doors are
opened until the last day prior to the Conference for topics
to be suggested. The presentations, discussions and
proposals will be printed in the Monograph as the author
contribution.
MISCO
'10 cannot accomplish its goals without the wide support of
the profession. We expect your support by an active
participation at the Conference. |
